Orestis, Salva and Milena. Most welcome!
Orestis joined the Gas Treatment and Microalgae Research Group as a predoctoral researcher. His current research focuses on producing value-added compounds following CO₂ capture, aiming to enhance the economic and environmental sustainability of biorefineries.
Salva joined the Gas Treatment and Microalgae Research Group as a predoctoral researcher. His current research focuses on syngas biomethanation in a hybrid reactor system, with particular emphasis on process development and scale-up.
Finally, we welcome back Milena as a second-time visiting postdoctoral researcher. Her interdisciplinary research combines environmental biotechnology and data science, encompassing biological gas treatment, anaerobic digestion, hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis, the removal of volatile organic compounds and hydrogen sulfide, and the application of machine learning for the monitoring and optimization of environmental bioprocesses.
