Meet our new researchers.
Nuria Fernandez joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research focuses on understanding the factors that regulates and influences the diversity and functioning of complex microbial ecosystems mostly in biotechnological processes and marine ecosystems.
Martín Dávila joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a visiting student from the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (México). His research focuses on the removal of an organism gene of Methylocystis hirsuta.
Shinya Okano joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a visiting student from the University of Soka (Japan). His research focuses on a gene knockout for higher PHB accumulation by the methanotrophs Methylocystis hirsuta.
Cristina González joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a Chemical Engineering student from the University of Valladolid (Spain). Her research focuses on the study of the temperature potential of strains of methanotrophic bacteria for the bioconversion of biogas to polymers.
