Lorenza Ferro joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a visiting PhD student from Umeå University (Sweden). Her research focuses on the co-cultivation of microalgae and symbiotic bacteria in municipal wastewater.
Giuseppina Oliva joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a visiting PhD student from University of Salermo (Italy). Her research is focused on the removal of odours and VOCs emissions by through advanced oxidation processes.
Sergio Bordel joined the gas treatment and microalgae research group as a postdoctoral researcher . His research will be focused on the overproduction of polyhydroxyalkanoates by methanotrophic bacteria through metabolic engineering.
